What is avalon meaning?

Avalon is a mystical island mentioned in Arthurian legend. It is the place where King Arthur's sword, Excalibur, was forged and where he was taken after being mortally wounded in battle. In some versions of the legend, Avalon is also said to be the home of Morgan le Fay, a powerful enchantress and half-sister to King Arthur. The island is often described as a land of magic and healing, and is associated with the concept of the "otherworld" or the afterlife. The name "Avalon" is believed to have Celtic roots and may have originally meant "the land of apples."
